Education is not merely a gateway to knowledge, but a cornerstone of the prosperity of a country. In the case of Pakistan, there are many challenges faced by the education system, which hinder the realization of its full potential. There is a need for greater discussion on pertinent issues, as a robust educational framework is pivotal for the progress of our nation. We don’t need awareness campaigns, we need accountability. Every school should have a proper system where children can report safely. And parents, stop shaming your own children when they try to talk that’s where the damage begins.

The issue isn’t just harassment, it’s silence. Kids don’t trust adults enough to talk. Parents judge, teachers dismiss, and everyone says “don’t talk about such things.” Until we make listening safe and normal, this cycle won’t stop

We never teach students  about body safety or boundaries in schools. We act like it’s taboo. Imagine if “good touch, bad touch” was taught as early as ABC, kids would know what’s wrong and who to tell.

If Qaris, teachers, etc.  actually lived by the values they preach, half these cases wouldn’t exist. The problem isn’t lack of awareness, it’s lack of conscience. The very people meant to protect children are the ones breaking their trust.
