Education is not merely a gateway to knowledge, but a cornerstone of the prosperity of a country. In the case of Pakistan, there are many challenges faced by the education system, which hinder the realization of its full potential. There is a need for greater discussion on pertinent issues, as a robust educational framework is pivotal for the progress of our nation. We have, therefore, embarked on a journey to create an education magazine that will help improve the current debate taking place in the country. Honestly, the main reason kids drop out in rural areas is money. Simple as that.
When a family’s barely surviving, sending the kid to school feels like a luxury. If
that child can earn even a few hundred rupees, they’ll do it. If we really want to
fix this, we need to make school worth it for the parents. Give small cash
stipends or food rations if their kids stay enrolled.

@irsa-khalid I don’t totally agree with that take. It’s not always about money. In many
villages, even when parents can afford basic schooling or get some support,
kids still drop out. Why? Because the schools themselves are a mess. There’s
no proper environment to learn!

@usamamaqsood But let’s be real, you can’t expect students to stay interested in school when
their stomachs are empty. You can train teachers all you want and update lessons, but if a kid’s worrying about food or helping their parents earn.
