How important is teacher training and support in making sure that educational funds lead to real improvement in classrooms?

Teacher training isn’t a luxury it’s the foundation. But more than that, it’s the follow-up that counts. If teachers get ongoing mentoring, not just one-day trainings, the money we spend actually shows up in learning outcomes.
Teacher training and support are everything. Dump money into buildings or textbooks and nothing changes if the person in front of the class does not know how to teach.
Yeah, let’s keep building more schools without training the teachers. Because clearly, walls teach algebra and empathy, right? Until teachers get real support, not PowerPoint workshops, we’re just pretending to fix education.
@ali-sikander I get your point about training, but it’s not always the main blocker, even well-trained teachers can’t do much if students are absent, classrooms are overcrowded, or families don’t value education. Sometimes the system itself, like resources, attendance, and community support, fails before teacher skills ever come into play.
@huma-shabbir but that’s exactly why teacher training and support are so critical. A skilled teacher can handle absenteeism, manage large classes, and even motivate families to care about education. Without proper training, all the system problems you mention just get worse instead of better.
Teacher training and support are vital to ensure educational funds lead to real classroom improvement. Without skilled, motivated teachers, even well-funded initiatives fail to make an impact. Trained teachers turn resources into meaningful learning outcomes.
